Hello, I am Claire
I’m a project manager. A parent. An expat living in Paris, France.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn't in our long-term plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were challenging — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was cultural adjustment, ambiguity, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines established themselves. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Silver Meadow Arc
Most online resources either offered corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was a truthful, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in France.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in France
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something meaningful changes
This site is NOT:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel journal
Looking Ahead
Our time in France continues, and the learning process goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Claire
